In some cases, minor children born in the United States will face the loss of one or both parents — or de facto eviction from the country of their birth.

Expulsion of illegal immigrants also will mean the loss of an estimated $83.1 million in state and local taxes, the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy estimated in 2012.
