This morning, the overall cost to Americans of the Iran War’s higher fuel and energy prices went over the $100 billion mark, according to the continually updated tracker that we launched in May.
As of September 24, the average additional cost to American households from the war was $750, which is projected to rise to $1,130 by the end of fall and $1,342 by the end of the year.
The data in the tracker are broken down by region, by household, and for some states. Separate estimtes are also provided for impacts on individuals, businesses, state and local governments, and the federal government. The information is updated daily.
