But not only that, the group also found that those immigrants pay an effective 8 percent rate at the state and local level, almost a full 3 percentage points higher than the top 1 percent. ITEP says that granting full legal status to those immigrants would raise another $2.1 billion of revenue a year for states and localities, while full implementation of President Barack Obama’s executive orders on immigration could bring in another $805 million annually.”
