According to the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy (ITEP), undocumented immigrants contribute about $11.6 billion to the economy annually. A recent report from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine found that immigration has an overall positive effect on long-run economic growth in the United States.
