The Sun-Sentinel: Undocumented Immigrants Contribute $437 Mil to South Florida Economy

The FIU institute compiled its figures from new undocumented immigrant population estimates by the Pew Research Center and effective tax rates for sales, property and income taxes paid by low- and moderate-income families in states as reported by the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy. Both Pew and the taxation institute are nonpartisan organizations located in Washington.
