“A new study says that taxpayers in the lowest-income bracket in Rhode Island can expect to pay nearly twice as much of their income toward state and local taxes as the wealthiest 1 percent.
The study, “Who Pays?”, was released Wednesday by the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy and the Economic Progress Institute.”
