WRPRI: These Tax Cuts and Tax Hikes Take Effect in RI Today

Rhode Island is one of six states increasing the gas tax July 1, according to the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy, a liberal research group. The next automatic increase will take effect in 2017, though lawmakers may consider raising it sooner.
