It defines how we plan to use our resources to do the things together that cannot be done alone, such as creating good schools for our children, protecting the environment, making our communities safe, making car travel possible, and ensuring that our constitutional rights are protected. The items contained in the budget not only reveal the important public structures that improve our quality of life, but also reflect what our priorities are as a state.”
